From Noxema, a 60-second workout

I've been using Noxema since I was girl. It has soothed my sunburn, battled adolescent breakouts and washed away my makeup after a hard day at work -- or an exuberant evening of partying.

Now, I've embraced Noxema's 60 Second Cleansing Whip. This daily cleansing mask puts a skin-friendly triumvirate of camphor, menthol and eucalyptus to work to wash away dirt, oil and cosmetics, leaving skin feeling refreshed. (Suggested retail price: $7.99)

Even better, it couldn't be easier to use. Simply smooth onto dry skin, leave on for one minute, rinse thoroughly and pat dry.

I've made the whip part of my morning routine. It glides on easily, which I greatly appreciate first thing after groggily trekking to the bathroom mirror. Then I dash into the bedroom and make the bed, which I figure takes about 60 seconds. A few quick splashes of wake-up water and I'm good to go.

It cleans thoroughly, yet doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. After all these years, Noxema is still taking good care of me.

I think some of the best beauty products are the old standbys and not the really expensive stuff at the department stores.
