Does anyone but me call this kind of footwear "zoris"? My parents taught me to say that, and it's the Japanese word (we're *so* not Japanese, BTW) but I can't remember anyone I've ever known saying it. The thing is, now when I hear "flipflops" it sounds like baby talk to me. I know it's not the biggest problem in the world today or anything, but I've always wondered how it is that my parents and the dictionary seem to be the only sources for this word.
I'm not familiar with the term Zoris but I like it better than flipflop. More grown up. Classier. And I bet you could charge more for Zoris.
