A new twist on Auntie Anne's

I like pretzels, especially big, soft pretzels.

I don't know why they don't sell them everywhere but they don't, so there you have it. It's twisted. Like a pretzel.

Happily, it's easy to make your own anywhere with Auntie Anne's At Home Pretzel Kit, which includes the essentials needed to mix, twist and bake fresh pretzels just like the ones sold in Auntie Anne's stores. You supply the vegetable oil, non-stick spray and butter. Each kit makes 10 original or cinnamon sugar pretzels.
I gave a make-your-own kit to a friend who moved to New Mexico, far from a decent pretzel. The suggested retail price is $12.95. You can pick up a kit at participating Auntie Anne's stores or online at http://www.auntieannes.com/.

I love big soft pretzels too, but I don't hold with the Auntie Anne's con cept of buttered pretzels, it just doesn't get it for me. Which would be no biggie, but what if buttering pretzels takes over? What if I can't get regular, unbuttered pretzels any more? Is that fair? Is that right?
