In a market where even premium vodkas are infused with caffeine, it should be no surprise that a mint can boost your energy while delivering fresh breath. VoJo Energy mints include guarana, a berry found in the Amazon, which contains substances nearly identical to caffeine as well as the ingredients in chocolate and green tea that provide a boost.
JoCo Brands, the California-based maker of VoJo, says the compounds in the mints are released over six hours, eliminating the jolt and drop off produced by an infusion of caffeine. Celebs have discovered VoJo, which comes in handy at closeup time as the mints come in a mirrored box -- and no worries about bad breath. The product has been featured on the Style channel and was the mint of choice at the Academy Awards. Regular users include Anjelica Huston, Ray Romano and John Stamos.
Such star power is much pricier than TicTacs. Packaged 82 to a box, VoJo retails for $3.50.
