Bye, bye Jasmine Sola
Jasmine Sola, the hip, fashion-forward retail response to a young gal's wardrobe dreams has vanished from Cherry Hill Mall, little more than a year after it opened the door to undifferentiated cuteness.
The bottom line: New York & Co., which took over the Massachusetts-based chain two years ago, couldn't continue to sustain losses in revenue. Contributing to that was a very expensive sexual harassment lawsuit involving Jasmine Sola's founder, who was accused of not being able to keep his mitts off at least six female employees. So all 26 Jasmine Solas went out of business.
The result: Women got hassled AND now have one less great place to shop. Where is the justice in that?
